CreditSafe API Instructions
To connect your CreditSafe account with Credit Pulse, you’ll need an active API key. This key allows Credit Pulse to securely access your CreditSafe data for company lookups, reports, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Follow these steps to request and retrieve your API key:
Step 1: Confirm You Have a CreditSafe Account
Before requesting an API key, ensure your company has an active CreditSafe subscription with API access.
If you’re unsure, contact your CreditSafe account manager or the CreditSafe support team to verify that your account includes API permissions.
Step 2: Request Your API Credentials
You can request your API key directly from your CreditSafe account manager or the technical support team.
Below is a sample template you can use for your outreach:
Email: support@creditsafe.com
Subject: Request for API Key for Credit Pulse Integration
Include in your message:
Company name
Your full name and role
Account number (if known)
Purpose of integration (e.g., “To connect CreditSafe data to Credit Pulse for automated credit monitoring”)
CreditSafe will usually respond within 1–2 business days with your API credentials.
Step 3: Retrieve Your API Details
When your request is approved, CreditSafe will send you the following information:
API Username
API Password
API Key (Token)
Endpoint URL (varies by region)
Keep these credentials secure. Do not share them outside your organization or include them in unsecured emails or documents.
Step 4: Send API Credentials to Credit Pulse
Once you’ve received your API details, send them securely to your Credit Pulse Customer Success Manager at support@creditpulse.com.
We recommend sending the credentials using an encrypted method or via the secure upload link provided in your onboarding documentation.
Step 5: Verification and Testing
After the key is added, the Credit Pulse team will:
Verify that the connection is active.
Run a sample company lookup to confirm data is syncing properly.
Notify you once the integration is live.
